– MUNCYT, National Museum of Science and Technology:
This museum is aimed at scientific and technological dissemination and has two locations, one in A Coruña and the other in Alcobendas. The one in A Coruña is located near Riazor, and among its functions is the popularization of science in a playful way.
This museum is located inside an old defensive fortress, recognized as an Asset of Cultural Interest. The castle is located on the Island of San Antón, currently linked to the city by the seafront, and construction began in 1588. The following year it suffered a brutal attack at the hands of the English Navy, and, after helping in the defense of the city, the work to finish its construction resumed. The castle witnessed more attacks on the city by other civilizations, such as that of the French Navy in 1639.
