Finally, the ruins of the medieval Carboeiro monastery is a good stop along the way. The Fraga do Rodo and a visit to the historic center of Lalín are other options for a perfect getaway with family or friends. 3- Pambre Castle Located in Lugo, Pambre Castle is one of the best preserved medieval fortresses in Galicia. In 2016, the imposing castle received a comprehensive renovation that brought it back from ruin. Erected in the 14th century, it is one of the few Galician medieval castles that have survived the Irmandiña revolts. The fortress has a square plan with four towers at the corners and another tower, the Torre del Homenaje, 11 meters per side in the center and 3 stories high. During this tour we will discover well-kept vineyards, centuries-old chestnut trees and ancient oak groves that surround the magnificent Sil Canyon and its beautiful viewpoints. In addition to the spectacular views, hidden among the vegetation that predominates in the area, we can visit the monastery of Santa Cristina, one of the jewels of the Romanesque. 2- Guitiriz Water Route in LugoWe change places to start a route of almost 20 kilometers through the province of Lugo. It is a long route but very easy to do, since it has no slopes. On the other hand, the route is along the banks of the Parga and Ladroil rivers and, in addition to its natural value, the Guitiriz water route stands out for its architectural interest, with a multitude of bridges, mills and churches that we will see along our route. Furthermore, one of the most notable attractions of this route are the fountains, which are said to have healing waters. 3- Route from Laxe to Punta Insua on the Costa da Morte We traveled to the Costa da Morte, specifically to the urban area of Laxe, to tour the western part of Insua, to the Laxe lighthouse and returning along the eastern part. The path that begins in an urban area becomes a path surrounded by ferns, brambles and pine trees at the top of the cliffs, where we will get impressive views of the Laxe cove and the mouth of the Anllóns river. Finally, the route from Laxe to Punta Insua is a circular route of about 5 kilometers.
