The route begins in Parada de Sil and is very practicable, making it ideal for a family getaway. During the journey you can enjoy spectacular views. Furthermore, the icing on the cake of this excursion is being able to visit San Pedro de Rocas, Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil and the parador de Santo Estevo.
2- Fervenza do Toxa
The Toxa River is known for its 30m vertical drop, the largest in Galicia. In addition, this waterfall is known as Pazos Falls which can be reached from Silleda. The Fraga do Rodo and a visit to the historic center of Lalín are other options for a perfect getaway with family or friends.
3- Pambre Castle
Located in Lugo, Pambre Castle is one of the best preserved medieval fortresses in Galicia. In 2016, the imposing castle received a comprehensive renovation that brought it back from ruin. Erected in the 14th century, it is one of the few Galician medieval castles that have survived the Irmandiña revolts. The fortress has a square plan with four towers at the corners and another tower, the Torre del Homenaje, 11 meters per side in the center and 3 stories high. The chapel of San Pedro, dating from the 12th century, is located next to the entrance.
